A lot is going on right now. We're all trying to social distance ourselves and that requires being home. More than most of us are use to. Which can boring and old very very quickly. But I think a great way to have time go bu and keep your mind active is reading! I've been reading a lot and its truly helped time go by. Plus it's keeping me positive and keeping my anxiety at bay. I've rounded up some fun, time consuming book series y'all should check out. I have loved each of these series and I go back to them! I know right now is a scary and anxiety filled time for many of us. But I know we will all get through this if we stick together, support one another, and keep the faith.I hope my blog will be a light in the darkness and can constantly put a smile on your face, no matter what's going on. Plus I can't think of a better hobby to dive into right now other than reading, right?

Harry Potter Series by J.K Rowling- Listen there are NOT enough good things I can say about Harry Potter. I can reread them at anytime and still the magic I felt when I read them for the first time. I feel like I always find something new or pick up on a little fact I didn't see before. I know the books were written for children but I think we all know Harry Potter is for all ages. It's a series with 7 books, so it most definitely will take up some time. Once you're done reading the books, I recommend doing a movie marathon! The movies are good but NOT near as good as the books, in my opinion.

To All The Boys Series by Jenny Han- So before the Netflix movie came out I had never read these books before. I had heard how well written and sweet they were but I still kept passing up on them. Then I watched the Netflix movie. And then I became obsessed. I couldn't put them down. I read all 3 of then in the span of about a month. I was sad once I was done. Well maybe devastated is a better word for how I was feeling once I finished the last book. Jenny Han created such a great series with a charming protagonist in Lara Jean. I think first love is something all of us can relate to and remember how magical it felt. But I enjoyed seeing the grow in Lara Jean and all aspects of her life not just her understanding of what love is. And I cannot say enough on just how ADORABLE Peter Kavinsky is!

Charlotte Holmes Series by Brittany Cavallaro- I randomly found this book in the public library. I was pretty intrigued by a retelling of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson as teenagers. Plus Sherlock Holmes is a genius teenage girl? Sign me right on up. I finished the first book in the span of a day and I had no clue it was part of a trilogy. This book doesn't read or even feel like a young adult novel to me. It does deal with heavy topics such as substance abuse, domestic abuse, sexual assault and more. So I do want to give that warning so that no one is going into with no warning. But every topic is dealt with well and nothing felt like a trope to me. Last year, the final book of the trilogy came out and I was devastated when I finished it. I couldn't believe it was all over and I wanted even more! More people have to read this series because it is so well done!

The Wedding Date Series by Jasmine Guillory- Romance novels are extremely hit or miss. A romance novel series is definitely something I have many doubts about. So honestly I read The Wedding Date and I really enjoyed it. Then I heard it was going to be the first in a series and I didn't see the vision. I didn't understand what or who the series was going to be about. Then I realized it was a different couple in each novel and each novel had a different plot. I liked that each book could be read as a stand alone novel but it is fun to read them in order. Each book is light, fun, and heartwarming! There's no better time to dive in than right now.

Murder 101 Mystery Series by Maggie Barbieri. This is a random find for me in the public library. I normally read my Goodreads app to gage if I should start a novel but I'm so happy I didn't with this. I dove in head first and man what it a fun ride I had! It's all about a woman college professor and how she constantly finds herself in the middle of mysteries. It is one of the few books that I laughed out loud to multiple times. Each book is a different mystery our heroine finds her in and how wrong things constantly go. The supporting cast of characters are just as entertaining the main characters. The mysteries are so intriguing and I was constantly shocked by each ending. Plus the series ends in such a great way and wraps everything up in a satisfying ending.
